Using Google Classroom - How to Stay Connected

3

I utilize Google Classroom to manage our class content and track assignments and resources for students.

Google Classroom has a feature that allows parents to receive email summaries about missing work, upcoming work and class activities.

If you are a STUDENT:

  • You will receive an invitation from me to join my Google Classroom.

If you are a PARENT:

  • Please email me using the email address we have on file for you in our system to request a invitation to receive these updates.
  • I will send you an invitation to receive updates through Google Classroom.
  • When you receive the invitation (in your email), you will be able to choose the frequency with which you would like to receive these updates.
  • See more Information About Receiving Google Classroom Summaries on Google.com

Period 1 Honors Physics - S1

Course Description

Honors Physics (0432) is a one semester, student directed course designed for the highly motivated student that will likely study science in college. The student will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the use of natural laws of matter and energy and their relationships. The course covers Newton Mechanics, energy and conservation, electrostatics, eclectic currents, magnetism, mechanical waves and sound, light and geometric optics. Upon completion of this course students will be able to transition to AP Physics

Period 3B - AP Physics C: Mechanics FY

Course Description

AP Physics C Mechanics is equivalent to a first semester college course in calculus based physics. The course will provide instruction in each of the following six content areas: kinematics, Newton’s Laws of Motion, work, energy and power, system of particles and linear momentum, circular motion and rotation, oscillations and gravitation. This course is recommended for students who have shown an advanced proficiency in mathematics and science, and are interested in the sciences or engineering disciplines in college. Students may earn college credits and college level work is expected of them. Students must take the AP examination in May.
