  • Delivered 22,139 GSF of new studios and gym addition
  • Included construction of detention pond
  • Added new south side drop-off lane

2022 Bond Program (Phase 2 of 2)

  • Planned to complete remaining modernization
  • Requires on-site or off-site swing
  • Bond Book Value: $30.7 million
  • Project Construction Budget: $17.3 million

How We Got Here: Options for temporary space offsite

  • Early planning explored relocating to an offsite swing campus
  • Murchison was the recommended location to place portables for off-site campus
    • Significant site improvements would be required at Murchison to accommodate off-site swing campus
    • PE and athletics programming for Murchison would be impacted
  • After evaluating cost and impact, team shifted focus to an on-site solution

On-Site Feasibility: Making on-site swing possible

  • Feasibility study confirmed on-site swing is possible and cost-effective
  • Existing building is planned to be separated in half to allow partial demolition (yellow area) with safe use of remaining portion
  • Each half has its own HVAC system to support phased construction
  • Plan includes will include following activities:
    • Setting up onsite portables
    • Demolition of left side of the existing building (yellow area)
    • Constructing 46,000 SF of new building
    • Adding a detention pond

    • Build 46,000 SF of new academic and core facilities
    • Keep students and staff safe throughout construction

    • Complete 63,500 SF of remaining modernization
    • Finalize shared spaces and complete campus build-out
    • CAT team will design both phases to ensure continuity and cost efficiency
