I lost my ballot. What should I do?
Vote in person instead. You will vote provisionally, which is a secure alternative to voting a regular ballot.
I made a mistake on my ballot. What should I do?
Vote in person instead. Take your Ballot-by-Mail with you to the polling station and give it to the voting clerk. You will be allowed to vote on a regular ballot.
Can I vote in person after I’ve already requested or received a mail ballot?
Yes. Bring your mail ballot to your polling place. Find your polling place at VoteTexas.gov.
I never received my ballot. What should I do?
It takes at least 7 days to process a mail ballot application. Ballots are mailed starting about a month before Election Day. Check the status of your ballot at VoteTexas.gov "Track my Ballot”. If you haven’t received your ballot, call your County Election Official.

You can vote by mail if you are:
To vote by mail in Texas, you must return your application at least 11 days before the election. Find the application at VoteTexas.gov.
Annual Application
To receive ballots by mail for the entire calendar year, check the box that says Annual Application in section 4. You must be 65 or older or have a disability to check this option.

How to return your ballot by mail in Texas
1. Vote
Deliver your ballot in person to your County Election Office while polls are open on Election Day. You must deliver your own mail ballot. You will be asked to show your photo ID.
Fill out your ID numbers under the Carrier Envelope flap.
AND
Follow the instructions on your ballot. Use a blue or black pen. Fill in the ovals completely.
2. Seal your ballot in the Ballot Envelope
3. Pack your Carrier Envelope
Place your Ballot Envelope in the Carrier Envelope.
Fill out all required information.
Then seal your Carrier Envelope.
4. Return your ballot
Return your mail ballot as soon as possible.
Track your ballot at VoteTexas.gov
Your contact information so the County Election Office can contact you if there is an issue with your mail ballot.
Seal the envelope- top and bottom. Then sign your name over the flap.
If somebody helped you complete your ballot, make sure they complete the assistant section.
If you’re unable to sign or make a mark, make sure your witness completes the witness section.
Mail your ballot. Postage is required. In most cases, your ballot must be received by 7pm on Election Day. If your ballot is received the day after Election Day, it will be counted as long as it was postmarked by Election Day.
