    • Attended Yale & worked as a lawyer & judge
    • Appointed as the Civilian Governor of the Philippines in 1901
    • Served as Roosevelt’s Secretary of War from 1904-1908
    • Became Roosevelt’s hand-picked successor in the Election of 1908
