What is a Focus Group?

A focus group is a diverse group of people assembled to participate in a guided discussion about a particular product before it it launched.

What does the Focus Group do?

A Focus Group offers feedback about a creative endeavor in the draft stage. Examples of these types of creative endeavors include a major presentation, political campaign, an advertisement, or a theater production.

What are the three roles within a Focus Group?

Presenter: This is a person who showcases a creative work in the drafting stage.

Moderator: This is a person who guides the conversations during a Focus Group session.

Members: These are persons who ask questions about the draft and offer numerous suggestions.
