A vision can be 1 step, it could be 2. It could take as many steps as you need

S – Specific

M – Measurable

A – Attainable

R – Relevant

T - Timely

  • You want your goal to be Clear & Understandable
  • Be clear about what needs to be accomplished
  • Find what is needed to carry out your Vision
  • Ask Questions!!

M - Measurable

  • Quantitative
  • What time constraints are there
  • Is there a deadline
  • How much material is needed

How do you know the measurements of your visions?

A - Attainable

  • Setting realistic goals
  • Starting with Small Ideas → Bigger Visions
  • Reasonable
  • Know Your Limits!!

R - Relevant

  • What makes your goals relevant?
  • Your goals should align with your values and long term objectives

Goals = Achieving Your Vision

T - Timely

  • Know your deadlines
  • Use time constraints as motivation
  • Is it a big vision? Is there an easy solution?

You can achieve the same Vision by making smaller goals for yourself and your team

Tower Activity

  • 20 pieces of Spaghetti
  • One meter of masking tape
  • One meter of string
  • 16 Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 Standard Sized Marshmallow
  • 10 MINUTES!!

Rule: You measure from the table to the top of the marshmallow on top of the tower AND it must be able to stand for 5 secs on its own
