  • Purpose of the requirement is to demonstrate leadership while providing a service to the community

  • Minimum number of hours/scouts not required

  • Can happen at any time as a Life Scout

  • May not:
    • Be solely a fundraiser
    • Benefit the BSA

  • Three parts to the workbook: Proposal, Plan, Report

  • Project Proposal
    • Signed by Scout, Beneficiary, Scoutmaster, and Committee Chair
    • Fundraising Form required if Preliminary Cost Estimate > $1,000

    • Worked between Scout and Eagle Advisor
    • “Approved” by Eagle Advisor
