Speed of Love
أحياناً قد يبدو لنا أن المسيح يسير أبطئ من العادي
At times, it may seem to us that Christ walks slowly more than usual

ثم قام الرجال من هناك وتطلعوا نحو سدوم. وكان ابراهيم ماشيا معهم ليشيعهم. فقال الرب: "هل أخفي عن ابراهيم ما أنا فاعله، وابراهيم يكون أمة كبيرة وقوية و يتبارك به جميع أمم الأرض؟
Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way. And the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
لأني عرفته لكي يوصي بنيه و بيته من بعده أن يحفظوا طريق الرب، ليعملوا برا وعدلا لكي يأتي الرب لإبراهيم بما تكلم به."
For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

و قال الرب: "إن صراخ سدوم وعمورة قد كثر، وخطيتهم قد عظمت جدا. أنزل وأرى هل فعلوا بالتمام حسب صراخها الآتي إلي و إلا فأعلم."
And the LORD said, "Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know."

و انصرف الرجال من هناك و ذهبوا نحو سدوم، و أما ابراهيم فكان لم يزل قائما أمام الرب.
فتقدم ابراهيم و قال: "أفتهلك البار مع الاثيم؟ عسى أن يكون خمسون بارا في المدينة. أفتهلك المكان و لا تصفح عنه من أجل الخمسين بارا الذين فيه؟ ( تك 18 : 16 – 24 )
Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD, And Abraham came near and said, "Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? (Gen 18 : 16 – 24)

كم من الوقت في الصحراء؟
How long was the time in the wilderness?
هل فكر إبراهيم حين يرجع للخيمة هاياخد وقت اد ايه؟
Did Abraham think about how long it would take to return to the tent?
إنها التمشية التي لن تنسى ولن تتكرر
It is the walk that will never be forgotten and will never be repeated?

Christ and Jacob
فبقي يعقوب وحده وصارعه إنسان حتى طلوع الفجر. ولما رأى أنه لا يقدر عليه ضرب حق فخذه، فانخلع حق فخذ يعقوب في مصارعته معه. وقال: "أطلقني لأنه قد طلع الفجر." فقال: "لا أطلقك إن لم تباركني."
Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"
فقال له: "ما اسمك؟" فقال: "يعقوب." فقال: "لا يدعى اسمك في ما بعد يعقوب بل إسرائيل، لأنك جاهدت مع الله و الناس و قدرت." و سأل يعقوب وقال: "أخبرني باسمك." فقال: "لماذا تسأل عن اسمي؟" و باركه هناك. ( تك 32 : 24 – 29 )
So He said to him, "What is your name?" He said, “Jacob.” And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”
Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said, "Why is it that you ask about My name?" And He blessed him there. (Gen 32 : 24 – 29)

كم من الوقت قضيا سوياً في هذه الليلة؟
How long did they spend together that night?
هل فكر يعقوب كيف سيقابل عيسو وهو لم ينم؟
Did Jacob think how he would meet Esau while he did not sleep?
لماذا انتظر إلى الفجر؟
Why did he wait for the break of day?

وأما موسى فكان يرعى غنم يثرون حميه كاهن مديان، فساق الغنم إلى وراء البرية وجاء إلى جبل الله حوريب. وظهر له ملاك الرب بلهيب نار من وسط عليقة فنظر و اذا العليقة تتوقد بالنار و العليقة لم تكن تحترق.
Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb , the mountain of God, And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.
فقال موسى: أميل الآن لأنظر هذا المنظر العظيم لماذا لا تحترق العليقة؟" فلما رأى الرب أنه مال لينظر ناداه الله من وسط العليقة وقال: "موسى موسى." فقال: "هأنذا."
فقال: "لا تقترب إلى ههنا. اخلع حذائك من رجليك، لأن الموضع الذي أنت واقف عليه أرض مقدسة."
Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn." So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.”

ثم قال: "أنا إله أبيك إله إبراهيم وإله اسحق وإله يعقوب." فغطى موسى وجهه لأنه خاف أن ينظر الى الله. ( خر 3 : 1 – 6 )
Moreover He said, "I am the God of your father the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. (Exo 3 : 1 – 6)

ألم تكن سنتين مثلاً كفاية ؟!
Wouldn’t two years have been enough?!
أليس هذا يعتبر عمر ضائع؟
Couldn’t this be called a life wasted?!
ألم تكن سنتين كافيتين للوصول إلى كنعان ؟!
Weren’t two years enough to reach Canaan?!

كم سنة من البئر إلى قيادة مصر ؟
How many years passed from the time he was thrown into the well until he became ruler of Egypt?
كم سنة مّرة على قلب يعقوب الأب؟
How many bitter years did Jacob the father endure in his heartache?
هل كان هناك قيمة لفترة السجن ؟! وبعدها 9 سنوات من يوسف الفرعون بلا اب ؟!
Could there be any value in the years of Joseph’s time in prison?!
And then nine years of Joesph as Pharaoh without his father?!

و لكن لما جاء ملء الزمان أرسل الله ابنه مولودا من امراة مولودا تحت الناموس
(غل 4 : 4)
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law (Gal 4 : 4)
أحلفكن يا بنات أورشليم بالظباء و بأيائل الحقل، ألا تيقظن ولا تنبهن الحبيب حتى يشاء

I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the does of the field, Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases.

لأعرفه وقوة قيامته وشركة آلامه متشبها بموته (في 3 : 10)
That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death

لا يتباطأ الرب عن وعده كما يحسب قوم التباطؤ، لكنه يتأنى علينا و هو لا يشاء أن يهلك أناس بل أن يقبل الجميع إلى التوبة (2بط 3 : 9)
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2Pe 3 : 9)

أتعشى معه

هنذا واقف على الباب وأقرع إن سمع أحد صوتي و فتح الباب أدخل إليه واتعشى معه وهو معي (رؤ 3 : 20)
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me (Rev 3 : 20)
أجاب يسوع وقال له: "ان أحبني أحد يحفظ كلامي و يحبه أبي وإليه نأتي وعنده نصنع منزلا" (يو 14 : 23)
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (Jon 14 : 23)

احذر من الكروتة احسن تكون بتسبق المسيح في الخطوة
Beware of shortcuts, lest you try to get ahead of Christ
احذر من سيطرة القلب والفكر على الروح
Beware of the heart and mind dominating the spirit
احذر من الآلهة الأخرى
Beware of having other Gods
خذ وقتك مع ربنا
Take your time with God
