Bulk Edit – Project evaluation

The CSV approach was positively accepted by expert users as they recognized the flexibility it provides.

However, majority of the FOLIO community opted for an In-app approach that would guide users through the bulk editing process.

The findings were confirmed by EBSCO’s UX Research study, that included FOLIO’s community members from Chalmers, Five Colleges, Stanford, University of Chicago, Cornell and Duke.

Summary of findings:

Long term approach: An in-app editor that cuts through the data-level noise is the best long-term option for user workflow and customer satisfaction

    • Review changes before they are committed
    • Download the preview (if desired)
    • Commit changes
    • Review errors (if any)
