Background

3 important things to consider:

  • if the background is really busy, change your angle to maybe the sky, or maybe even the ground
  • Use focal length to blur backgrounds
  • Place subjects in front of Open Spaces, so the background isn't as noticeable, or clear.

Lighting

The Golden Hours:

  • One hour before sunrise, one hour before sunset
  • Good lighting is really important because it gives all the colors a bright vivid color, maybe a 'Golden' color.
  • Also, the sun gives a lot of light, which makes for a better picture

Angle

This wasn't taken this semester, but I thought it was a really cool angle.

Subject

A good subject is one that's really obvious in the photo. And a more unique object makes the picture more interesting also.

Timing

I think that perseverance is the most important thing. Because, with that, the other three will also come easier. Patience, prediction, and pluck will be more obvious if you stay there longer trying to get the shot because you have seen it before, so you should know what to expect.
