In Singapore, there are rules and regulations you have to follow in order to ride bicycles.

An example is that handle bars must be 700mm max

However for mountain bikers, many prefer a longer handle bar because of the increased balance and found it a hassle to keep switching back and forth from mountain biking to normal biking
