Other filters of interest

On this screen, you can’t select by Years of Service, though, but you will be able to do that later. But also note the other filters you can select with here include Region, Section, Country, Gender, and others.

5

See how the charts and tables below the filters change.  But also note the other filters you can select with here include Country, Gender, and “Primary Employer Type,” where you can select Industry only, if you want.

Also, under Product Name, where you can select your Society, you an also select those in the WIE and YP affinity groups.

Get the list of individuals

Click on “Detail,” which is the right-most tab along the top of the dashboard. This gives you the list of actual individuals, with their contact information and other data. You’ll still need to select by Years of Service, to exclude those who likely don’t have enough time as technology professional to be eligible for Senior Member.

6

On this screen, there are additional filters, including “Renewal Category” so you can see who’s renewed for next year or not.

Select by Years of Service

On this screen, there are now additional filters, including “Years of Service.” De-select “1,” “2,” and “3 to 5” and click on apply. You now have a list of names and email addresses of all members potentially eligible to be elevated to Senior Member.

Download the list of individuals

You can then download this list, by clicking on the download button in the upper right. Select “Crosstab” and choose Excel or CSV. CSV works better, generally. If you choose Excel, the fields where something is the same for a bunch of members, show up as a merged field in Excel. The CSV file, instead, lists that value for each member, so it's easier to sort or otherwise manipulate.

Use the list to reach out to them!

  • If you’re going to reach out to people, however, you need to pay attention to the final column (“OK to Contact”) in the downloaded file. We can only reach out to those that have a “Y” in this column. This indicates if we have permission to contact them.
  • For example, I downloaded the TEMS list as I worked through this process. In this list, there were 657 names, but 66 of them have an “N” in the “OK to Contact” column, so you can’t email them.
  • Obviously, you can do all sorts of other searches here. For example, as mentioned above, you could also generate a list of Senior Members and Fellows (and Life Senior Members and Life Fellow) who could serve as potential endorsers in a Senior Member Elevation campaign.
