What is a Jobs and Skills Council?

A JSC is a not-for-profit company that is industry-owned and industry-led

  • We bring together employers, unions and governments in a tripartite arrangement to find solutions to skills and workforce challenges.

  • We are funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR)
  • We are one of 10 JSCs established to represent and champion in demand sectors.
  • We provide industry with a stronger voice to ensure Australia’s vocational education and training (VET) sector delivers better outcomes for learners and employers.
