IMPORTANT DATES & DETAILS

*Graduation 2026 will be at Reynolds Coliseum at NC State University on Friday, May 22nd at 7:00P.

*Graduation rehearsals are May 20th and May 21st. Rehearsals are MANDATORY.

-The May 20th rehearsal will be at SRMHS at in the main gym, 8AM-12PM.

-The May 21st rehearsal will be at Reynolds Coliseum from 12PM - 2PM.

-Cap and gowns are not required during rehearsals.

Graduation tickets will be given during the 2nd MANDATORY rehearsal. Extra tickets are NOT guaranteed. Tickets CAN NOT AND will NOT BE SOLD.

GRADUATION DAY DETAILS

-Graduates must arrive by 6:00PM. Please give yourself extra time for parking!

GRADUATION ATTIRE

Option #1: White collared shirts, tie, dark dress pants, dark/neutral dress shoes, and dark socks

Option #2: Dresses (Same length or shorter than the gown-can be any color and should not be visible under the gown), dark dress pants, dark/neutral flats or heels (no platforms, high spikes=make sure that you can walk in your heels), no colored tights or pantyhose/no fishnet stockings

**Dark/neutral=ie. black, dark brown, or navy (all graduates); Clear and nude shoes are acceptable.

GRADUATION ATTIRE CON…

-Graduates may NOT decorate their caps. If a

graduate has a decorated cap, they will NOT be able to walk during the graduation ceremony.

-The graduation unit (cap and gown) cannot be altered in any way. Graduates may not add additional stoles or cords that are not a part of those issued by the school or in the unit.

-Stoles/cords will go underneath SRMHS stole.

-Hang up your gown when it arrives to avoid wrinkles on graduation day.

GRADUATION ATTIRE CON…

**The graduate will be taken out of the line and asked to try to get proper graduation attire if they are not in appropriate graduation attire.

**If the graduate cannot change prior to the start of the ceremony, the graduate will NOT be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

**If you need to practice walking up/down the stairs and/or walking across the stage in your shoes, bring them to the graduation rehearsals.

***Be mindful of the width of the sleeves on your gown as to avoid getting them caught on chairs or stair rails when walking to the stage.

***Graduation Tickets & Seating***

  • The number of tickets each graduate will receive: . Please plan accordingly.
  • Tickets will be given to graduates at the 2nd mandatory graduation rehearsal.
  • Tickets are required for entrance to the ceremony.
  • Ages 3 and up require ticket.
  • Invitations or announcements do not grant admittance to the ceremony. Admission is by ticket only.

Reynolds Coliseum Entrance Procedures and Prohibited Items

*All graduates, staff and guests entering Reynolds Coliseum will have their bags searched and will be required to walk through the Weapons Detection System. The following items and activities are prohibited out of concern for the safety of our guests, employees and participants:

Alcoholic beverages, animals, artificial noisemakers/confetti/streamers, balloons, bicycles/footwear with wheels/hoverboards/skateboards, coolers/ice bags, drones/unmanned aerial vehicles, food or drink of any kind, including containers such as bottles, cans, thermos, etc. (NC State does allow for 1 sealed bottle of water to be brought in or empty water bottles to be filled at the water fountains along the concourse).

Reynolds Coliseum Entrance Procedures and Prohibited Items continued…

Glass items (including, flower vases/bottled drinks), illegal substances, laser pointers, loitering, no banners or signs, sitting/standing in the aisles, smoking, strollers (collapsible strollers are permitted (but cannot be stored in the seating area), throwing objects in the stands or onto the graduation floor, unauthorized vending/distribution of good/services, weapons, wrapped presents (any items in a gift bag will be searched), hand fans are allowed.

*Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements or special needs; fans should carry any necessary documentation, credentials or identification. Diaper bags are permitted only if accompanied by an infant.

  • Senior Dues are $50.
  • The last day to pay senior dues will be May 1, 2025.
  • Dues can be paid online and in person - Ms. Gill (Room 504).
  • Failure to pay fines (dues) = No graduation diploma cover & No admittance into the Senior Activities that are planned.
