Objectives

  1. Survey and collection of A. nigra from Pukia, Silapathar Assam, India.
  2. Phytochemical investigation an in-vitro antioxidant and antibacterial activity from leaf, stem, and rhizome of A. nigra.
  3. To perform molecular docking, ADMET calculations, Physicochemical Property Calculations, Biological Activity and Adverse Effect.
  4. To generate QR code.

  • Molecular Docking: This will be done by using Auto-dock Vina to validate the protein and compound interactions.
  • ADMET stands for Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity. This prediction will be done by using ADME Lab 2.0.
  • Physicochemical properties calculations can be done by using RD-Kit
  • Biological Activity and Adverse effect will be done By using PASS ONLINE tool.
  • By using python code the QR code will be generated.

Expected Outcome

1. Generation of baseline data on the conservation status of A.nigra in Assam, aiding in future conservation efforts and management strategies for the species.

2. Providing insights into its potential as a source of antimicrobial agents.

3. To elucidate the intricate mechanisms underlying drug interactions with biological systems, facilitating a deeper understanding of drug effects and kinetics to optimize therapeutic interventions and minimize adverse outcomes.

4. The goal of the current work is to combine data from in-silico and wet lab experiments onto a unified platform, experiments onto a unified platform, represented by a QR code specific to A. nigra.

Applications of A. nigra

  • It is believed to have spiritual significance and is used as an offering to deities or spirits in religious ceremonies and festivals.
  • In traditional medicine, A. nigra has been used for its medicinal properties.
  • Ropes prepared from A. nigra are also used to tether cows to prevent infestation of diseases and to repel disease vectors.
  • A. nigra contains various bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, terpenoids, and phenolic compounds, which have attracted interest from researchers for their potential pharmacological properties.
