Planner Cover Contest
For this next assignment, you may have the opportunity to see your art on the cover of our planners next year!
Think back to when you designed your pizza box. What things did you do well? What did you learn from that assignment about designing surfaces?
Here are a few things to remember:
-The template I give you is the ACTUAL SIZE of the cover
-The School Logo must be incorporated somehow
-Keep our motto in mind: ACHIEVE, BELONG, CONTRIBUTE
-BOLD rather than light colors will look better
-Artwork should be free of smudges or eraser marks
-Do not fold
Start with a “Thumbnail sketch” then get your paper from Mrs. Hunt
-A thumbnail is a very rough draft of your sketch. It is a smaller, simplified version, usually made on draft paper. It contains only the key shapes and objects of your sketch and leaves out the details. It also shows the main color areas and how different colors work together.
