It doesn’t take long!!

Using 1 A3 piece of paper

Divide it into 8 equal areas

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Vehicle

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Animal

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Plant

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Rubbish

​

​

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Sport

​

​

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Music/instrument

​

​

​

​

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Body or body part

​

​

​

​

​

​

You will have 1 minute to draw a lamp with the influence of a Household item (eg: tv, stove, couch etc)

​

You should now have 8 ideas in 8 minutes!!!!

Next you need to select three (3) ideas that you like the most

Normally you would run these ideas past your client or a selection of your target market but for this exercise let’s just pick your favorite 3 :)

You now have 3 minutes for each concept:

One at a time draw a better sketch on its own A3 paper

Add colour and basic notation:

Materials

Features eg: light fixture, switch (dimmer), stable base, usb plug etc
