Understanding the Four Projection Series

There are first three projection series (High, Mid, and Low) are generated from weighted averages of cohort survival ratios (CSRs) over the last five school years.

The fourth projection series (Snapshot Series) uses only the last two years of enrollments and assumes those recent trends continue over the next five years—useful as a “recent-trend check.”

The High and Low Series generally create the outer bounds around the expected range.

The mid series is the most commonly used planning baseline.
