What About Tech Coaches?

Effective Tech Coaches:

  • model and promote equitable access for all students.
  • gather data and support teachers to continuously adjust long-range learning plans.
  • assist teachers in integrating digital resources to support student learning and adult learning.
  • model differentiated instruction via effective integration of technology to meet needs of all students.
  • demonstrate utilizing formative and summative assessments that exemplifies student growth in knowledge and skills over time.
  • advocate for policies, funding and programs to support implementation of district shared vision.
  • provide professional development that model effective practices of technology integration.

Effective Tech Coaches...

  • model safe environments for all digital learners.
  • support teachers in embedded digital citizenship lessons into already-existing instruction.
  • comply with federal and state laws (CIPA, COPPA, FERPA).
  • assist in development, implementation and monitoring of district AUP/RUPs.
  • collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress over time to adjust practice, goals, etc.
