First…RMS Music Booster Board Business

Approve Minutes from August 18, 2026 meeting

2025-2026 planned budget was $17,600. Actual spend was $29,310. The board elected to use held funds from prior years of $11,700 to buy String Instruments for the Orchestra to reduce our rental costs which had been averaging ~ $500/month. This will have a lasting impact for years to come.

Richardson Music Boosters (RMB) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
Created by a team of music parent volunteers

We support the RMS Music Program
We organize fundraising efforts
We organize parent volunteer support (chaperones, concessions, events)
We promote and encourage the musicianship of RMS Music students
We work together with the Music Program Director to accomplish the goal of excellence in all RMS Music Program related activities

Disney workshop: Advance band/choir only. This is opt-in. Must be paid in full and permission forms submitted by due date – Feb. 10, 2027. This event is all day. Estimated price: Student $165, Guest $121

*Package will cover cost of transportation, festival participation and theme park ticket for Students and Chaperones. Does not include Guest Transportation.
