Important Dates

  • Mass-Testing Survey available: Tuesday, January 21st - Friday, February 7th
  • First day to participate in research studies (besides Mass-Testing Survey): Tuesday, January 21st
  • Alternate Assignments open on HuskyCT (for Storrs students only): March 31st (Week 10)
  • Last day to participate in Sona Studies and Alternate Assignments: Wednesday, April 30th
  • Experimenters will credit all participation by Friday, May 2nd

Logging In for the First Time

Go to the Participant Pool Website and click on the “Sign Up For A Research Study” button. Then login with your NetID and password.

  • May require Duo authentication

If you’re unable to login, you may need us to create an account

  • Email us at uconnpsychologyparticipantpool@gmail.com with the following info:
    • First and Last Name
    • Course number AND Lecture section number (e.g., PSYC 1101-050)
    • Lecture instructor
    • NetID
    • Peoplesoft ID number

Mass Testing

After you complete the Mass Testing, you should be redirected back to the participant pool website and automatically given credit for your participation.

  • If you were not granted credit, please email us at uconnpsychologyparticipantpool@gmail.com

Note: the Mass Testing Survey is available until the end of the day on Friday, February 7th. After this time, you will not be able to complete the survey, but other studies will start to become available as the semester goes on.

Completing your Credits for the Semester

  • Once Mass Testing is over, you should follow the same steps outlined here to sign up for additional studies.
  • Check with your course professor about specific credit requirements and grading.
    • The standard credit rate is 1 credit per 30 mins of participation
  • Go to the Participant Pool Website for questions about the participant pool, studies, etc.
  • Email the pool coordinators with specific questions or issues

Alternatives to Research Participation

There are two options available on HuskyCT for participation credit that do not involve research participation (i.e., videos/quizzes or papers):

**For Storrs students only**

  • Alternate Assignments will become available on HuskyCT during Week 10
    • Enrollment will be automatic

  • Last day to participate in Alternate Assignments: Wednesday, April 30th

If you are at a regional campus (e.g., Hartford or Waterbury), see your instructor for alternate assignment options
