New Worlds Reading:

Florida’s FREE state reading program for eligible VPK- 5th graders!

• Enrolled kids choose 9 new books they’ll get by mail each school year
• Books come with reading activities & resources to strengthen literacy skills
• Available in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, or braille
• Books are approved by the Florida Department of Education

Current Eligibility

Kids are eligible if they are:

• VPK - 5th graders
• in a VPK program, public school, or charter school
• who have ever tested below grade level in reading.*

ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION

There will be a waiting period as New Worlds Reading team will confirm eligibility using student records. Please note: VPK and K students may have a longer waiting period as we wait for their student data.

FIRST SHIPMENT

After receiving an email confirming a child is eligible, our systems take 6-8 weeks to send out that child's first shipment.

FREE BOOKS

AT YOUR DOOR!

Enrolled children receive free books and reading activities through fifth grade! No matter when a child's shipments begin, they receive ALL 9 FREE BOOKS & ACTIVITIES for that school year.

• Select birth month, day and year from drop down menu
• Select their grade level for the current school year
• Select County/District name from the dropdown and start typing your child’s school’s name
