Survey
What are learning styles?
How can the results of the survey inform your learning?
Questions to help you determine your own learning style
What are “learning styles”? What kinds of learning styles are there?
Chat with a partner and share anything you know about these terms.
A learning style is simply the way you learn best. It’s how your brain processes and remembers information most effectively.
For example, someone might be a visual learner or a kinesthetic learner.
Who thinks they know their “learning style”?
Share with a partner how you think you learn best and how you know this. Then I will ask for a few people to share with the class.
Why would we want to know our learning style?
Identifying your preferred style of learning can help you learn more about yourself and how you learn most efficiently. When you discover strategies that work for you based upon your preferred learning style, you will be able to study smarter, rather than harder. This will really pay off for you when it comes time to take that important exam or write that critical paper for a class.
