Hi students,

You’ve been practicing writing opinion compositions this year. Now is the time to polish up what you already know. This workshop will deal with different parts of this kind of writing. By the end you will be expressing your opinions with a lot more tools to work with. I suggest you open up a google doc and work on it, that way you can send it to me later. Here goes!!

You need more paper

1. Take a piece of paper and pen

Turn that paper over

2.Turn the paper over

Listen to this music and write words that come to your mind. Don’t look a the video just listen.

Write your name at the top of the page. Now write words about you. 30 sec.

Look around where you are. Now go! Write all the words of what’ you can see!! 30 sec.

Now write the word Fire at the top of the page. Now write words connected to fire., 30 sec.

Enough for Brainstorming!! Remember these tips!

  1. Work fast when you want to brainstorm
  2. Write in the present simple or past at the beginning.
  3. Try to use fancy words if you have them.
  4. Don’t worry about getting it right or wrong, just write.
  5. Now go back to the beginning and do it all over again, FASTER!!!!
