Bullying/Harassment

School Policies on Bullying

Missouri House Bill 1583 recently required revisions to school bullying policies. Student handbooks reflect changes in LSR-7 Board Policies JFCF (Bullying & Cyberbullying) and JFCG (Hazing).

Bullying is defined as:

  • Intimidation, unwanted aggressive behavior or harassment; and
  • Repetitive or substantially likely to be repeated; and
  • Causes reasonable student to fear for physical safety or property; or
  • Substantially interferes with student’s education; or
  • Substantially disrupts orderly operation of school

Safe Schools Reporting Tool

Students, parents, staff, or community members can report incidents of bullying in multiple ways. We encourage students and parents to contact our school principal or assistant principal directly. Reports can be made by going to the Hawthorn Hill website and clicking the Safe Schools Alert icon. Reporting can occur via text, email, phone, or web and can be anonymous.
