2022 Secret Holiday Shoppe

Saturday, December 3, 2022 - 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

We hope all our students can attend this loved event and shop for their family, friends, teachers, neighbors, etc.! Our Secret Shoppe Team has been busy preparing for this and has many wonderful items for the students to choose from!

Here’s how it works:

Fill out your Gift List Planner. All gifts are $6 and under.
Bring this list and payment to the event. Cash and personal checks are accepted. Please leave the check amount blank as sometimes shoppers spend less than their budget. An adult will fill the amount in and report the amount to parents.
Shop with your own personal shopper! Volunteers act as personal shoppers to each student, while parents wait in the cafeteria.

Please be a part of a truly wonderful holiday experience by volunteering for an hour shift or more. We also love middle schoolers and high schoolers as volunteers. Sign up to volunteer here.

Restaurant Night @ Noodles & Company

THIS MONDAY!!

Take a night off from preparing dinner and doing the dishes to join the Worthington PTA at our next Restaurant Night! Join us at Noodles and Company on Monday, December 5th between 4:00 and 8:00 pm. Announcement to Chorus Members and Families

Our Winter Concert is quickly approaching! Chorus students have been working hard in their weekly rehearsals since September to prepare a beautiful program of music for their first performance of the year.

**Be sure to read the entirety of this announcement for important details.**

Concert Attire

What to wear:

short-sleeved white shirt
black pants/skirt
black shoes
black socks

Extra considerations: It can get quite warm on the risers, so I strongly recommend that students wear lightweight materials.
Prepare: Please be sure to try on concert attire now to ensure it still fits. This will allow families time to shop for any missing pieces.

List of Important Dates

12/8 & 12/9: Combined 4th and 5th grade rehearsals in the Cafeteria at 3:10pm. These rehearsals, referred to as dress rehearsals, are designed for concert preparation. Students, please make every effort to attend. (You do not need to wear concert attire).
12/13: In-School Assembly Performances for WoES students and staff members. There will be two performances, morning and afternoon, to accommodate all WoES students. These performances are scheduled during school hours and will take place in the Cafeteria. Performers wear concert attire. Due to space limitations, we ask that families do not attend the in-school assemblies.
12/14: Evening Performance at WoES at 7pm (Performers arrive by 6:45pm to warm-up in the Music Room). This performance is open to families and the community. Performers wear concert attire.

Special Note to Families: Keep in mind that young singers can begin to feel nervous about an upcoming performance. This is normal and expected. Please be sure to check-in with your student periodically between now and the concert.

Winter Concert Reminders for Band and Orchestra

Friday, December 16 - 5th Grade Advanced Band students at Mt. Hebron High School. The concert begins at 7 PM, students expected to report at 5:15 PM. See Canvas announcements for additional details.
Wednesday, January 25 - Winter Concert for ALL Band and Orchestra students at Centennial High School. Report times and other details will be shared in early January.

Grade Reminders:

A reminder to continue to check Canvas weekly for new assignments and/or assignments that need to be resubmitted. Resubmitting assignments is an important part of the learning process.
