Upcoming event: Changing by the Minute Documentary Screening + Panel Discussion in Hixson Auditorium, 6pm on September 27. If anyone wants to serve on the panel, please let Dr. Mayes know. This documentary is all about educating the middle school child.

Would anyone like to serve on a small combined staff/parent committee to help plan March to the Middle: Parent Edition 2024? If so, please email Dr. Mayes to sign up.

6th grade camp parent informational meeting at Camp Wyman was a huge success! Thank you to all of the parents who attended!

Overall, school is off to a really great start! Your children are fantastic! Lots of positive things happening at Hixson.

Thanks to those who have already signed up to volunteer on these committees at March to the Middle and Open House. We are in the process of reaching out to everyone. If you haven’t already signed up please do. As each committee plans events and activities there will be a need for additional volunteers from the Hixson Community so stay tuned for all the opportunities to “Make Middle School Great”.
