Where is Hooke Court?

  • Located in Dorset, close to the village of Hooke

  • Field-study education centre and accommodation open for over 20 years
  • 14th Century Manor House
  • Set in 24 acres of glorious countryside – lawns, moat, campsite

What will the days look like?

Breakfast - main canteen

Tent inspections

Morning activity

Lunch - packed lunch delivered to the campsite

Afternoon activity

Dinner - hot meal in the main canteen

Evening activity

8.30pm back to the campsite for bedtime

Day 1

Wednesday 12th June

Morning depart The Vineyard and travel to Dorset by coach

Lunch at Hooke Court (packed lunch provided by home)

Afternoon activity - team building

Evening activity - night walk

Day 2

Thursday 13th June

Viking Day - a variety of activities

Viking Feast

Viking Saga and Wedding

Day 3

Friday 14th June

Build and sail a Viking Longboat

1pm depart Hooke Court to be back by 4pm (hopefully)

How will the children be grouped?

Children will be put two groups one for daytime and one for nighttime

Write down 3 names (they will be put with at least one of their choices)

What is the accommodation?

  • Secure campsite for our use only
  • Bell tents - 7 children, low camp bed
  • Toilets, sinks and showers
  • Large communal tent with tables and chairs
  • Security lights

  • Officially sign up

      • 1st installment of £100 payable by 7th February 2024
      • 2nd installment of £75 payable by 25th March 2024
      • 3rd installment of £75 payable by 1st May 2024

  • Forms for medical/dietary needs sent home
