Recent Activity
Look here for recently graded tasks for all classes.
Click on the “Page Directory” to find your teacher’s Aspen Page
Click here to explore which teachers have set up Aspen “Pages.”
Page Directory: Select “Add” to include a page in your left sidebar.
Teachers in the South Colonie District that have set up a public Aspen “Class” page will appear here. Please note that not all teachers have set up an Aspen Page.
Once a page has been “added”, it will appear in your left side bar under “Academics.”

If the teacher has added a student as a “member” of his/her page, the student will be able to view grades here also!
“To Do” Widget
Look for the “To do” list. This may be blank for teachers that do not post their assignments ahead of time.

Details for a Particular Class
Identify the grading scheme for the teacher in the “Average Summary” box.
Details for a Particular Class
Click the “Assignments” tab on the left to view all of the grades for a particular class.
Select the appropriate quarter here.
Use the Filter to View Individual Categories
(For example, view only TESTS)
Click the down icon
If the assignments for the entire quarter have already been entered by the teacher into Aspen, it may be necessary to click the arrow to view current grades.
Pull the scroll tab down to view more current grades.

How to Determine a Teacher’s Grading Scheme:
The categories established by the teacher will appear here.
If the teacher included a comment, it will appear here.
Some teachers may add attachments or web links that correspond with particular assignments.
Calendar View
Some teacher may post their assignments before the due date. If this is true, this feature can be used like an agenda book.

This view allows an Aspen user to view the due dates of assignments for one or all classes.
To help students stay organized, Aspen added a feature that allows students to check off when a particular assignment has been completed.
Transcript
You can view the transcript from the previous year.
State Exam Scores
Students and parents can now view state exam scores on Aspen.
Select “Assessments” on the left navigation tab.
Details for Individual Assessments
The Notification App...
Parents and students can arrange the settings to be notified under certain conditions.
For example, the moment that a teacher enters a test grade <70%, a notification is immediately sent.
