Teachers: Use the ABC slide to inspire discussion, writing, and community in your classroom. It can be used at the beginning of the year or any other time. Multilingual student directions are provided. Feel free to adapt using Google Translate.

Some ideas for using the ABC slide:

Have students to select any number of letters to write about as Quick Write in their journals.
Have students to select any number of letters to create a visual (Google Slides, Adobe Spark, or Canva) about themselves.
Create a Flipgrid board and ask students to select a few letters they would like to discuss in the Flipgrid video.
To mix it up, have students spell a word using the letters. Students should respond only to the letters in their word. For example: JOY.

Amplification: After students share their All About Me ABC responses, consider playing two truths and a lie to check how well they were listening. (A two truths and a lie board has been provided.)
