لان اليهود يسالون اية و اليونانيين يطلبون حكمة. و لكننا نحن نكرز بالمسيح مصلوبا لليهود عثرة ولليونانيين جهالة. واما للمدعوين يهودا و يونانيين فبالمسيح قوة الله وحكمة الله (1كو 1 : 22 - 24)

For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;. but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God

We Preach Christ Crucified

يموت ليحيا الإنسان

Died so that the Humans would live

يتألم ليشاركنا الألم

Bore the Pain to share our pain

يتعرى ليستر عارنا

Gave way to be unclothed to cover our bareness

و انا لما اتيت اليكم ايها الاخوة اتيت ليس بسمو الكلام او الحكمة مناديا لكم بشهادة الله. لاني لم اعزم ان اعرف شيئا بينكم الا يسوع المسيح و اياه مصلوبا. و انا كنت عندكم في ضعف و خوف و رعدة كثيرة.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

و كلامي و كرازتي لم يكونا بكلام الحكمة الانسانية المقنع بل ببرهان الروح و القوة. لكي لا يكون ايمانكم بحكمة الناس بل بقوة الله. (1كو 2 : 1 - 4)

And my speech and my preaching [were] not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1Co 2 : 1 - 4)

للبعض (اليهود) عَثرة

According to some

(the Jews), a stumbling block

الصليب عثرة للمتكبرين (الذين يكرهون الضعف)

The Cross is considered a stumbling block for the Proud people (The ones who hate weakness)

الصليب عثرة لمن يريدون هذا العالم

The Cross is considered a stumbling block to those who are attached to this world

للبعض (اليونانيين) جهاله

According to some (the Greeks), foolishness

الصليب جهالة لمحبي الفلسفة والعلم

The Cross is foolishness according to the lovers of Philosophy & Science

الصليب جهالة لمحبي الجسديات والملذات

The Cross is foolishness according to the lovers of the World and its Pleasures

فكم بالحري يكون دم المسيح الذي بروح ازلي قدم نفسه لله بلا عيب يطهر ضمائركم من اعمال ميتة لتخدموا الله الحي (عب 9 : 14)

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Heb 9 : 14)

و كما رفع موسى الحية في البرية هكذا ينبغي ان يرفع ابن الانسان. لكي لا يهلك كل من يؤمن به بل تكون له الحياة الابدية.

(يو 3 : 14 - 15)

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, "that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (Joh 3 : 14 - 15)

و اما من جهتي فحاشا لي ان افتخر الا بصليب ربنا يسوع المسيح الذي به قد صلب العالم لي و انا للعالم (غل 6 : 14)

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world (Gal 6 : 14)
