2. About the project

I came up with the idea a couple of years ago and the design has evolved into something different as it’s gone on.

My original design was board shorts with a zipper down the side of the right leg. My idea now is board shorts with a zipper, waterproof pocket and anti chafe material inside of it.

I am currently in the developing stage of these shorts. I will launch the business with a zipper only and then add in the pocket and anti chafe material later.

3. Problem to solve

The shorts will help children get their boardshorts -

  • off easier to avoid scratching from the sand

  • avoid bunched material that gets stuck when you try to roll the legs down

  • tantrums from tired kids

  • Also, a great solution for children in wheelchairs going to therapy or swimming.
