TRANSITION in 2022

  • Over the summer of 2022, Noelle and I researched teacher evaluation systems that would better meet the goals previously listed.
  • We knew that we would need to modify any existing system since our school is so unique.
  • Trust Based Observations (TBO)– Craig Randall meets these criteria
  • Using the language of this research based system, we created an evaluation process and schedule that is intended to meet the goals of our teacher evaluation program.

Teacher Licensure

Charter schools must maintain at least 50% certified for teaching staff. Our NC certified is currently at 78%. We have 4 teachers in the process of becoming certified which will increase the percentage to 88% by the end of 2024.

Teachers who have a current NC teaching license are required to keep their license current

Teachers maintain their own CEU certificates

Out of state licensed teachers must begin the process of getting certified by NC as soon as possible - it is not a quick process

Maintain CEU tracker and submit to Ms Pieper in the spring of renewal year
