Why the FMHS, OIU uses GPA
1. GPA reflects the overall level of the student achievement through the study period.
2. GPA provides international recognition for student achievement in an increasing global marketplace.
3- GPA will not replace the true degrees attained by the student throughout the courses he has studied.
5- GPA is complementary to the degree classification, internationally understood by employers and oversees universities.
6- GPA provides a precise overall judgment of the student achievement because it takes into account all the courses that the student has studied.

The Blueprint shows the distribution of the summative assessment as follows:
1- Continuous assessment =20%
distributed as follows:
Midcourse exam 10%
Seminars 5%
Assignments 5%
2- Summative assessment 80% distributed as follows:
Written Exam (paper 1 20% paper 2 20%) = 40%
Practical Exam (OSPE, OSCE, OSLER) = 40%,

Total number of credit hours of the studied courses
A = 4 Points
B+ = 3.5 Points
C+ = 2,5 Points
C = 2 Points
If the length of these 4 courses is 2, 2, 3, and 5 credit hours
The grand point aggregate = 4X2+3.5X2+ 2.5X3+2X5 =
2 + 2 + 3 + 5
cGPA = 32.5 = 2.7
