What is Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day (CBD)®?

It is our single largest fundraiser to support scholarships and other educational opportunities for our members! Funds are raised in two different ways:

  1. Donations from the sales of beverages crafting during a Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day event.
  2. Many businesses feature the Yakima Chief Hops annual Pink Boots Hop Blend or Country Malt Groups Pink Boots Malt Blend in their CBD beverages. Portion of sales ($1 per pound) from the Yakima Chief Hops and ($5 per bag) from Country Malt Group..

Why is it called Collaboration Brew Day?

This event is an inclusive and collaborative opportunity for registrants to invite others to collaborate in the crafting of a fermented beverage through a hands-on in an educational experience about the fermentation process.

When is it?

A brew day may be held any day of the year!

Pink Boots Hop Blend a separate fundraiser within Collaboration Brew Day

Every fall since 2017, Pink Boots Society has partnered with Yakima Chief Hops (YCH) and Country Malt Group (CMG) to carefully craft a seasonal proprietary hop blend. Our members participate in a detailed selection process to create an annual blend. The blend is then made available for commercial and home brewers to purchase and use in their Collaboration Brew Day product.

We hope purchasing the Pink Boots Blend will inspire all to create beer that celebrates and supports women in the industry year-round.

YCH and CMG have donated over $500,000 to Pink Boots Society from proceeds of the Pink Boots Hop Blend since 2018.

“I don’t view this as supporting one person or one company or one brewery, this is a collaboration across the globe about doing something good for the right reasons and being a part of something very empowering.”

Pink Boots Malt Blend a separate fundraiser within Collaboration Brew Day

The Pink Boots Malt was born from the idea to involve more members of the industry in our efforts to uplift women and non-binary colleagues, as malt is a core ingredient for both brewers and distillers.

YCH and CMG have donated over $500,000 to Pink Boots Society from proceeds of the Pink Boots Blends since 2018.

The Pink Boots Malt is a seasonal craft base malt product, appropriate for both brewing and distilling. Each year, it will highlight a different barley variety and subtle differences in base malt characteristics.
