These slides are to add information that your group has uncovered during your group reading sessions.

The Leader will make a copy of the slides, and share it with the rest of the group.

It is the Leader’s job to write the responses of the group.

Our Roles

Before reading the text use the title, colours, and the pictures to make predictions.

  • What key ideas might you expect to find in the text?
  • Who might the text be about?
  • What issue/problems might be in the text?

The Leader:

Decides who will do each job.They introduce the text and make sure everyone is able to join in.

The Predictor:

Uses information from the cover and the etx to predict what will happen. The predictor is going to make sure everyone shares their predictions.

The Questioner:

Thinks about what you already know, what you would like to know and what you need to know. The group will then answer the questions.

The Clarifier:

Identifies any confusing words, sentences and ideas. They will need to think about how to find a solutio. The group will need to work together to answer this.

The Summariser:

Leads the summarising conversation where everyone is able to share the important parts of the text. What was the problem, how was it solved and wad did we learn.
