Electricity

Electricity is the flow of electric charge.

Electric current can flow through conductors, but not through insulators.

We can store chemicals in a battery to create electricity.

Before we can build our robot, we need to learn about electricity. Electricity is the presence or flow of electric charge, or electrons. This flow can go through conductors like copper wires, but it can’t flow through insulators like the red and black rubber covering the wires. Make sure you don’t touch the red and black tips together, because that will drain the battery real quick.

How this works inside a battery is with chemical reactions. There are always two sides of a battery, positive or negative, that are blocked in the middle by a barrier. Each side has a set of chemicals that really want to react with each other, but can’t, because they have either too many or too few electrons. We use this to our advantage by connecting the battery ends, and allowing the electrons to flow from one side to another as electricity. This connection is called a circuit, and can be used to power a light bulb, motor, or a ps4.

It has an unbalanced mass that rotates, creating a vibrating force
