The 13th ISKO-France International Colloquium on Social Epistemology in Knowledge Organization was conceived as a tribute to Jacques Maniez, co-founder of ISKO-France, who passed away in 2020

ISKO Poland
Organizational Structure of ISKO in Poland: Representatives and Members
Professor Wiesław Babik is the President of ISKO in Poland. Professor Katarzyna Materska is the Treasurer.
Five active local Chapters, managed by local Coordinators who report to the National Coordinator.
Warsaw (13 members), Kraków (20 members), Katowice (10 members), Olsztyn (11 members), and Toruń (8 members).
Our membership status can be compared as follows: in 2018: 70 members, 2019: 69 members; 2020 – 68 members; 2021- 68 members, 2022 – 65 members; 2023 - 64 members; 2024 – 64 members – 62 members and in 2026 – 51 members. All are individual members.
Electronic newsletter, ISKO PL News, twice a year.
In Poland, since the new Act on Higher Education and Science in 2018, there has been a decline in ISKO membership. This is primarily due to changes related to the decision of some members to pursue other scientific disciplines (for example, the local chapter in Katowice), the retirement of scientists, and the fact that membership in international organizations no longer provides the same rewards for academic advancement as before.

Inspiration and promotion of research on the theory and practice of information, knowledge organization and management in information study.
Scientific patronage in 2025 of three national and international scientific conferences in the fields of information management, information architecture and social communication and media.

The conference was attended by 84 delegates from 20 countries and was very well received, 66 of the delegates were ISKO members
