Why Cyno Should get the zhongli treatment of a buff

Overview

I personally think that Cyno should receive a buff. While he can excel in aggravate and Quickbloom teams, he is massively outperformed by better and stronger units. He feels way too situational and niche to be meta, so i am putting my case forward as to why he deserves to receive a buff

Reason number one: plot

Cyno is stated to be incredibly powerful in game, him earning the title of general because of his military feats. He is shown in his first in-game cutscene to be on par or above in strength to Alhaitham, but his in game strength does not reflect this. He has one of if not the best designs of any character in this game, especially when under the effects of his burst, so to waste that on him is not very fun. His widespread authority and notable strength according to the characters not being correctly matched is something that should be amended

Reason number two: Business

Being a gacha game, there usually isn't much balance changes made to incentivise spending more money on newer characters so that the company makes more money, inevitably leading to older characters becoming lackluster and underused. However, as seen with zhongli, a large buff towards a previously mediocre character leads to an increase in favour, and therefore, more people become willing to spend money on getting the “new and improved” character, giving more and more money towards the company than just doing a rerun of the character with no changes

He is hot

Reason number four: investment

Cyno is incredibly annoying to farm his materials for. The scarabs are in my experience so hard to find, even with the interactive map assisting me, so to make a character as hard to advance as cyno and make him rather lackluster is not a good decision in my eyes
