Voice Search

Tips for using Google Voice Search

  • Look for the "Ok Google" icon (a microphone) on the right side of the search bar.
  • Make sure you have a new tab open as "Ok Google" only works on a new tab page.
  • Plan in your head what you want to say. Keywords work best.
  • Say "Ok Google" or click on the “Ok Google" icon and wait for it to ask you to “Speak now”
  • Say your search words clearly and slowly into the microphone.

  • Choose a new layout and apply to the slides
  • Search Captain Cook and find when he first landed in Gisborne, NZ. Add to the next slide
  • Find an image of Captain Cook in “IMAGES” & insert in the next slide by using the + button. Note that the link is inserted with the image.
  • By using the EXPLORE tool images are labelled for reuse.
  • Use the Back arrow at the top of the Explore tool and reset the layout if needed.
