What is Electromagnetic Force

An interaction that occurs between particles with electric charge via electromagnetic fields

How does it work?

The magnets attached to the battery create a North and South Pole. When it is placed inside the copper coil, an electrical current flows through the coil and a magnetic field is created. The North and South poles of the magnetic field push the train along.

Instructions

  1. Gather all the equipment needed
  2. Attach 2 magnets to each end of your battery
  3. Wrap the copper coil around your ‘train’
  4. Watch what happens!
