Preview of Summer Plans

Centre College Soccer Camp

Basic Information:

• Team Camp held at Centre College
• Dates: June 20-24
• Cost: App. $300.00 per player
• Optional and does not guarantee you a position on the team.

What does camp look like?

• You will stay and room on a college campus.
• Approximately 3 - hour long practice sessions held in the mornings and early afternoons, one lecture based lesson (nutrition talk, yoga, etc.), one full-sided game late in the day, and then game based activities at night.
• 14 high school teams attending in 2016.

Benefits of Attending Camp:

1. Get a feel for staying on a college campus.
2. Build relationships with your teammates.
3. Well-respected college coaches from across the state and region work the camp.
4. Practice sessions are well-ran. I learn something every year.

Legacy Core 2016

What will be expected of you?

• To LEAD in a variety of ways - at school, within our program, and on the field.
• Meet with coaching staff once or twice a month to discuss team vision and direction.
• Be thoughtful and voice your opinion.

What do I need to do to apply for the Legacy Core team?

1. Think about what being a TNHS Lady General means to you and what attributes you could bring to the LEADERship team.
2. Write a letter of interest to our TNHS coaching staff by completing these instructions.
3. Share your applications with Coach Martin before May 6.

Physicals

• All student-athletes required to have an up-to-date physical on file with school system in order to participate in athletics.
• All physicals I have on file will expire this summer.

What do I need to do to get a physical?

1. Schedule a visit.
2. Print this form to take to your visit.
3. You fill out part of the form, the doctor fills out part.
4. Bring a copy to Coach Martin to keep on file with TNHS.

Next Steps

All interested players MUST complete the following actions:

• Talk to your parents about Centre Soccer Camp and your options on attending. All players should text Coach Martin about their intentions (going or not going) so he can calculate numbers.
• Make sure contact information is up to date.
• Did anyone not receive the Remind “test” text message?
• Who are the incoming players interested in our program?
• Submit your Legacy Core applications before May 6.
• Get a new physical before practice starts this summer.
