Ready to Record!

Recording

  • You get EIGHT (8) count off beats before your recording starts.

  • Remember to use a set of WIRED headphones to hear the metronome when you record. No airpods or wireless earbuds.

  • You may redo your recording if you make a mistake, but try to limit yourself to 2-3 takes.

  • You will not see anyone else’s recording until your instructor compiles the video and makes it public. Likewise, nobody will have a chance to see your recording until the submissions are complete. If you’d like to try rerecording after you have already submitted a video, please contact your teacher so they can delete your first recording.

Calibrating Your Recording

After you finish recording, you will then see a sound wave of what you just recorded. In order for your recording to line up with your classmates’ recordings, you will need to drag the sound wave so that your playing lines up with the metronome clicks.
