• Chimeric Antigen Receptor T (CAR-T) cell
• Example of immunotherapy
• T cells are being added with an artificial receptor that can recognize specific antigen and activate T cells simultaneously
• Used in treatment of blood cancer (e.g., leukemia)

Gene therapy

• Treats and prevents diseases by correcting the underlying genetic problem
• Modify and manipulate the expression of a gene to alter the biological properties
• Replacing mutated genes, fix mutated genes, or make diseased cells more evident to the immune system
