Reflection in, on and for Action

2 of 7

Task

What is the difference between reflection in, on and for action and how could you incorporate this in your practice?

Select a task which you will evaluate. Use one of the following ways to reflect on that task:

  • Have you taught that task yet? If so use Driscoll Cycle (reflection ON action)
  • Have you not taught that task yet? Use the WHYs technique (reflection FOR action)

You may also choose to discuss your response with a colleague or as part of a team meeting or CPD session.
