q4: new leadership for CAB? (cont.)

11

I think Dr. Max is continuing to do a great job organizing the call, so I don't think it *needs* new leadership. I understand that he might want a break or some additional support, as he's been doing it for a few years now.

Unsure

Dr. Max does a fantastic job of leading the meeting

Keep up the good work

None

Maybe ask individual component teams to also present their roadmaps in more detail

There was a negative “what is CF good for?” tone in the CABs I attended

Perhaps support from Abby or Chip could give the CAB some re-invigorated interest. Maybe they could be guest presenters?

Demos

demos and project updates

It's been great to hear questions and concerns about CF core projects from the community.

I enjoy hearing project updates and experimental features that are being worked on. Demos of new stuff is always cool!

Keep up the good work

I promise to attend more in 2020! I've had lots of meeting conflicts that have prevented me from joining this year.

The CAB call needs to reach out to a larger audience somehow. The somehow is the hard part.

None from me :) Swwarna

I realize that the current 8 am PT time is a compromise to make the call accessible to those in Europe as well, but I suspect it has suppressed representation from those on the West Coast (which includes many of the CF development teams and leads).

Perhaps support from Abby or Chip could give the CAB some re-invigorated interest. Maybe they could be guest presenters?
