Google Classroom and Classroom Calendars

  • Clean up old classrooms by returning work and archiving the classes if you did not in June. Click for video. Return all assignments so students become the owner. This is critical before you archive classes.
  • Hide old classroom calendars from your view by clicking ‘Hide this calendar from the list.’ Click for video.
  • When you create new classrooms, you will see the new features of Google Classroom that are arriving daily. Click for the most recent updates.

Security

  • Passwords
    • This is a good time to change your passwords and make sure you can get into all your accounts. DO NOT give ANYONE your passwords (not guest teachers) and do not leave them on your desk or screen. No one should have access to your accounts and you are ultimately responsible for the integrity of your account.
  • Windows L locks your computer - Always lock your computer when leaving your room for security. Please use this feature.
  • To sync your passwords, click control, alt, delete and change your password (it must be 8 characters). It’s good to change your password every 6 months or so. If you reset your password, it will make your computer log on match your Google account, and also your SchoolWires account. PowerSchool passwords must be done separately.
