Final Exam Exemptions

Students with an A (90 or above) may be exempt with three or fewer unexcused absences.

Students with a B (80-89) may be exempt with one unexcused absence.

Eligible students also must have four or fewer tardies in the course and no Honor Code violations.

These criteria apply only to teacher-made finals, not to required state assessments.

Policy: 4400 Attendance details student attendance and absences. When a student must miss school, a parent or guardian must submit a written excuse (print or digital) to the attendance office within two days of the student’s return after an absence. Absences due to extended illnesses may require a doctor’s note. Failure to submit a written excuse will result in an unexcused absence.
