Student and Staff Attendance

12 of 12

Summary of 6/13/22 Meeting

  • The Committee reviewed and discussed the updated health metrics. We discussed a slow down in the reported number of cases locally and within the schools.
  • Staff and student attendance has stabilized in recent days.
  • The superintendent will ensure there are adequate resources for next school year to procure testing and other supplies and tools necessary to respond to COVID cases in the fall; for example, the district is hiring additional nursing staff to assist with student health services in the 22-23 school year.
  • The Committee will meet again on 8/22/22 to discuss the status of COVID in the community and review plans for the reopening of schools in the fall to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff.
  • The superintendent thanked the members of the Joint Committee for their guidance, advice, and incredible dedication to the entire NPS community over the last school year.
