Booster Club Purpose

Our purpose is to support and promote the Eagan High School Boys Basketball Program in an atmosphere that is consistent with the educational philosophy of the Minnesota State High School League, Independent School District 196 and the Eagan community.

The Eagan High School Boys Basketball Booster Club is an independent body of parents and community supporters.

Fundraiser Categories

The EHSBBBC Board works closely with our Athletic Director, Jason Elias, and our Head Coach, Kevin McKenzie, to define our annual expense and fundraising goals.

The Eagan High School Boys Basketball Booster Club (EHSBBBC) raises money to fund and support the EHS Boys' Basketball program so that our students have the opportunity to play the sport they love.

Free-Throw-A-Thon - FRIDAY Dec 5, 7-8:30pm

Summary

  • Goal of this fundraiser is to create a fun, community-based event that fosters team bonding and skill development while raising funds for our program.
  • Each player and coach shoots 100 free throws (20 at a time) as fans/families cheer and try to distract.
  • At the end, the top 3 players with the best free throw percentage win a gift card.
  • Players solicit donations via GoFundMe (players have the information).
  • Pizza and drinks will be provided to the players.

Booster Club Meetings

The Eagan High School Boys Basketball Booster Club holds monthly board meetings on the second Monday of the month unless otherwise noted. Parents of rostered players are welcome to attend meetings.

2025/2026 meetings will be on the EHS Boys Basketball Calendar and on the Booster Club tab of the website.

Note: Our meetings will be conducted over Google Meet until further notice.

Booster Club Website

The EHSBBBC has its own web page within the main Eagan High School Boys Basketball website.

You can find such things as important announcements, registration links, videos, board contact info, as well as our meeting dates, minutes, and bylaws.

We also use the Eagan Basketball website’s online calendar to inform players and parents about Booster Club related activities -- be sure to subscribe so that all activities sync to your personal calendar.

We manage Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube social media accounts for our Booster Club.

Booster Club Membership Registration

Although booster club membership is not a requirement, we do strive for 100% participation and would like all families to pay their dues once teams are made on November 18, 2025 through Saturday, December 6, 2025.

The annual membership fee is $225/family.

Your booster club membership is also a big part of the money we raise each year to directly support our program by paying for such items as:

  • Practice Jerseys and Shorts
  • Uniforms / Backpacks / Travel Gear / Bag tags
  • Basketballs
  • Extra Coaches
  • Transportation
  • Team Building Activities
  • Summer BBQ

Team Gear

The Booster Club uses membership fees and other funds raised to ensure all players have a full uniform.

Freshman will receive a backpack and bag tag.

All players receive a shooting shirt.

JV / Varsity players will receive the Nike travel sweatshirt & pant!!

We are one basketball family and we will support all of our athletes regardless of financial circumstances.

GAME DAY Volunteers

Each parent is expected to volunteer for at least 5 game-day / event shifts throughout the season, but we welcome parents to volunteer for more if interested and/or willing to fill in. Our biggest priority is making sure all the slots are filled ahead of game day. If you need to cancel, please contact parents on your team to secure your replacement.

Team Dinners

Each team’s parents will take a turn hosting an All-Team Dinner at the Eagan High School Commons. You can choose what you would like to serve. Teams will need to take care of the ordering, setting up and serving, and clean up. The booster club will reimburse teams up to $500 per team dinner. Receipts can be submitted to our treasurer, Rich Pangier, and he will write a check or Venmo you!

  • Our Spirit Wear online store provides families the opportunity to purchase high-quality Eagan Basketball gear
  • Purchasing spirit wear is 100% optional
  • The second window to order will open Nov 19 – November 24th

Busing to Away Games

Players are expected to ride the bus to away games with their teammates. There will be 2 buses leaving the East Entrance at Eagan High School with 1 bus returning to Eagan High School following the Varsity game. Busing is provided for 9A/B and B Squad to game only within ISD 196 (Apple Valley, Eastview, Rosemount).

If you plan to bring your son home after the game, you need to physically connect with his coach before you leave.

Carpooling requires prior written notice, so you will need email or text the coach who your son is riding home with.
